some of the team (old & new) did the Half iron distance Traithlon in the new forest yesterday.
The Swim was cut short to about 750 as water only 11.3 degrees. It felt warm getting in as the floor was frosty! Bike was chuffing freezing to start with, sun was glorious by the run. a normal English day then !

Dan Chapman got the fastest time on Boxing day with 30:00 and now has to wear a Santa Claus trisuit at every race for the year!

Team Member Stuart Mcleod won his 2nd Fowlmead duathlon of 2011 in 50:33
Dean Painter was 3rd in 52:50, with Dan Butler 6th in 55:03.
The 3 team members where the fastest 3 on the bike splits, in the order they finished.
Next Race at fowlmead is on 22nd Jan and we all said we'd give it a go, unless it snowing!

Below is pic of Mike after his rescue about 1.5 miles off course !
 Over 10 of the team (Mike, Ade, G, Kelly, Steve H, Claire, Jamie, Guy, Dan C, Matt, Dan B - prob missed someone) Entered the Charity RNLI swim at Joss Bay which made BBC Southeast News and headlines on BBC Kent!
Up to 80 swimmers were rescued by those great volunteers from the RNLI and the Coastguard - only 3 people finished the 3.8K! Ade being one of them, winning his age group! Apparently it was an unexpected rip tide that swept through the area, which took some swimmers as far as the Thames estuary! Potentially a very serious incident which ended with every swimmer being accounted for - thank goodness! Apart from the rip-tide-dramas, it was great to see so many of the Team on the beach with their families - a lovely atmosphere :0) and I think a pretty good, if eventful, day on the whole. |

Another great Race, Won by David Jones in a great time of 50:46.

Last month has seen some great race results from the Team all over the place.
Man of the past month must be Chris Butler who Followed Birling with a week off and in last 3 weekends has finished 7th in London Sprint, then had a Great ITU Oly week after and trumped it with a 10:31 (16th in Age group) Ironman Copenhagen time last weekend - Awesome and we wish him and Dean Painter well in World Age group Oly in Beijing in Sept.
Chris Butler (7th), Dean Painter (11th), Steve Lawson (50th) saw 3 Team Outrageous members in top 50 of 1100+ at London Sprint.
Steve Hunter, Jamie Spillet, Leeky, Claire Friday, Loyd Davis all had a great london oly on the sunday - not sure of thier times, Peter Chard did a PB of 2:24 ish which he was chuffed with

In other news Claire Friday (solo channel swimmer) has joined the Team and she is a full time Swim Coach - more details to follow in the Coaching Section
Dan Butler, Chris Ford and Richard James all did the Ashford sprint Triathlon last sunday and must say it was a great race and one to do next year
Alan Davis did Seaford Tri and did great time too, sea swim was very choppy which he said made for great fun !
